GRENADA AND THE IMF AGREE TO POSTPONE SECOND REVIEW OF EXTENDED CREDIT FACILITY

ST. GEORGE’S, July 26, 2011: The Government of Grenada announced today that it has agreed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to postpone the second review of the country’s Extended Credit Facility (ECF), pending a thorough re-assessment of programme parameters and objectives. The second review of the ECF had been scheduled to be considered by the Fund’s Executive Board on June 27, 2011.

CARICOM DEVELOPMENT FUND SCOPING MISSION TO GRENADA

ST. GEORGE’S, July 26, 2011: A CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) Mission visited Grenada from July 21 – 22, 2011 to conduct a series of consultations with the Ministry of Finance, and other key stakeholders including the Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GCIC), the Grenada Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), the Grenada Bureau of Standards (GBS), the National Training Agency (NAT), the National Disaster Management Agency (NaDMA), the Inter Agency Group of Development Organisations (IAGDO), and the Department of Public Administration (DPA).
