GRENADA FEATURES A ROMANTIC SPOT ON LIVE STREAM TODAY AT 2PM

St. George – The Grenada Tourism Authority will feature one of Grenada's newest romantic spots today as part of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation's Periscope Marathon. This live stream on social media will take place from 2pm to 3pm at https://www.periscope.tv/ctotourism/1RDGlODlAddKL   and is part of CTO's observance of the Year of Romance. "Discover Grenada" will be one of six Caribbean participating destinations and will be live from 2:18pm to 2:28pm.

DESTINATION GRENADA GOES TO TRINIDAD

St. George -- The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) will host a series of destination shows in Trinidad from Thursday to Saturday. The promotional activities will commence with a press conference, followed by two travel agent expositions, a destination show at Movie Towne Mall, and close with a mixology competition for media professionals.

CRUISE BUSINESS NEGOTIATIONS FOR GRENADA AT SEATRADE CRUISE CONFERENCE

St. George – Grenada is being promoted as the ideal tropical cruise destination at the 32nd Annual Seatrade Cruise Global Conference and Trade Show which began on Monday and ends today March 2016 in Fort Lauderdale FL, USA. The public-private sector delegation which is being led by Tourism Minister, Yolande Bain-Horsford, is hoping to use the occasion to increase cruise business in the upcoming seasons, while also reviewing customer feedback which will improve destination management.

VISITOR ARRIVALS TO GRENADA INCREASED BY 12.7% IN 2015

St. George – Visitor arrivals to Grenada increased by 12.7% in 2015 reaching a total of 443,368 --- up from 393,339 in 2014. Cruise passengers represented 63% of arrivals, followed by stayover visitors (32%), and yachties (5%). Visits were mainly for leisure, business, and study. Cruise and stayover arrivals contributed an estimated $362 million Eastern Caribbean dollars to the economy in 2015.
