GRENADA INVITATIONAL LAUNCHES ON DECEMBER 29

ST GEORGE – The Grenada Invitational will be launched here on December 29, according to Sports Minister Roland Bhola who  made the announcement while making his contribution to the 2017 Budget in Parliament on Monday.  He said that the interest among the public is heightening as the organisers continue to roll out the names of the international athletes who are confirmed to participate in the April 8 event at the National Stadium.

TOP THIRTEEN BOYS AND GIRLS FROM DIGICEL NBA JUMPSTART ELITE CAMP ATTENDED NBA GAME IN THE U.S.

Castries, St. Lucia -- Digicel and the National Basketball Association (NBA) announced today that the top 13 boys and girls from the Digicel NBA Jumpstart Elite Camp in the British Virgin Islands attended an NBA game at Madison Square Garden in New York City featuring the New York Knicks vs. the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

INSPIRATIONAL GRENADA TEEN CONTINUES TO OVERCOME ADVERSITY WITH A MARATHON WIN

St George -- Nineteen year old Willan George of Gouyave beat all the odds when he finished first in the 2016 Run De Spice Marathon, in a time of 4:41:25, on Saturday, 26 November 2016.  Not only was he up against more experienced runners from Trinidad & Tobago, British Virgin Islands and Germany but, incredibly, he had not trained for this particular occasion and had received his first pair of running shoes that very morning!
