GRENADA'S INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON SET FOR JULY 9TH

St. George -- De Spice Events, organizer of Grenada's biggest triathlon, has announced the date for Tri de Spice 2017. Scheduled for Sunday 9th July at Port Louis Marina against the backdrop of the breath-taking St. George's harbour, this year's Tri de Spice promises to be another spectacular triathlon event.

ATHLETE DOCUMENTS GRENADA INVITATIONAL EXPERIENCE

New York - Phylicia George is a Canadian sprint hurdler of Grenadian descent. She opened her 2017 season in Grenada at the Grenada Invitational and documented her experience in a VLOG (Video Blog).

In this episode you will also see other athletes with Grenadian connections - Payton Hazzard and Quincy Downing. The latter won the Men's 400m Hurdles in a personal best of 48.80 seconds.

Phylicia's father, who is from River Road (village overlooking the Kirani James Athletics Stadium), also joins her in the video.

GRENADA'S 22-MEMBER TEAM HEADS TO THE FLOW CARIFTA GAMES

St. George – Grenada's 22-member team departed Grenada this week for the Flow Carifta Games in Curacao. The athletic games will see 26 countries, including the 15 Flow markets, competing in a range of 21 track and field events at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad.

GCA/REPUBLIC BANK RIGHTSTART INTER-PARISH TOURNAMENT LAUNCHED

St. George --- The Grenada Cricket Association (GCA)/Republic Bank RightStart Under 19 Inter-parish Cricket Tournament, has kicked off with a press launch, attended by Ministry of Sports representatives and title sponsor, Republic Bank.

For the 3rd consecutive year, Republic Bank has demonstrated its commitment, through tangible support, to ensure the tournament is played.   The matches are scheduled to commence April 18 and run until April 26th.
