TABLE TENNIS TAUGHT TO TEACHERS IN CARRIACOU & PETITE MARTINIQUE
Hillsborough, Carriacou, September 28, 2011- Physical Education teachers in Carriacou and Petite Martinique are being taught the art and skills of table tennis by Grenadian coach, Jason Stanislaus.
Stanislaus is facilitating a workshop in the basics of table tennis. As part of his one-week stay, Stanislaus is also holding tennis sessions with students at Mt. Pleasant Government, Harvey Vale Government, Dover Government and L’Esterre Rosary.
Jester Emmons, Senior Coach in the Ministry of Carriacou & Petite Martinique Affairs described the tennis training as the start of the reintroduction of different sporting activities on the island.
About three years ago, a number of corporate citizens donated seven tennis boards and other accessories to the people of Carriacou & Petite Martinique.
