POLICE WEEKEND OPERATIONS
St. George -- The RGPF, in its continued fight against crime, made several weekend arrests. Among the persons arrested and charged is Anwar Walker, 40 of Telescope, St. Andrew.
Walker was charged for possession and trafficking of a controlled drug after forty and a half pounds of Cannabis were found at his home on Monday.
Two women, Denize and Lennet Tillock, 23 and 33 respectively, both of Golf Course, St. George were charged with possession of ammunition. The duo was placed on bail and will appear in Court on September 4th 2012.
Also arrested and charged was Mervin Blake, 24 of Woburn, St. George. Blake was charged with possession of ammunition, possession of a controlled drug and possession with intent to supply.
Meanwhile, 167 units of cannabis trees were uprooted during a police operation in Celeste, St. Patrick. No one was arrested.
In another operation one sword was confiscated.
