TEACHER CHARGED WITH MURDER
St. George -- Twenty three year old John Redhead, Teacher of Requin, St. David has been arrested and charged with murder, in the death of 19 year old Akera Lalgie, whose dismembered body was discovered in a garbage bin on Thursday 26th July 2012.
Police investigations led to the murder scene in a secluded area within the town of St. George.
During a search of the area an offensive weapon and personal belongings of the victim were recovered.
Redhead will make his first Court appearance on Monday 30th July, 2012 at the St. George's Magistrate Court at 09:00 a.m.
An autopsy performed on Saturday 28th July 2012 revealed Akera died as a result of hypovolemic shock. The report also stated that the teenager was partially strangled.
The search for Akera's missing body parts yielded limited success on Saturday. Police are continuing their search.
