INTERNATIONAL DAY OF UN PEACEKEEPERS

London -- On Tuesday, High Commissioner Rouse laid a wreath on behalf of Grenada at the Memorial to the Women of World War Two, at Whitehall in London UK. As International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers was commemorated, prayers were said and persons who gave their lives for peace were remembered.

NEW APOSTOLIC NUNCIO IN GRENADA


St. George -- The new representative of Pope Benedict VI to the Caribbean will arrive in Grenada on Monday, 28 May 2012.

Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Nicola Girasoli will present his credentials to Governor General, Sir Carlyle Glean on Tuesday, 29 May at the Governor General’s office at 10.00 a.m.

Archbishop Girasoli will celebrate Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, Grand Anse at 6.00 p.m after which he will meet with the clergy and religious of the diocese.

CARRIACOU HOSTS REGIONAL WORKSHOPS ON MARINE PROTECTED AREAS

Hillsborough -- Carriacou will again be the centre of attention when, on Wednesday 30 May, Senator the Honourable George Prime, Minster of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, opens a three-day Workshop on adaptive capacity for marine protected area governance in the eastern Caribbean at the Sea Waves Conference Room in Hillsborough.
