PASTORS FOR PEACE IN LAST WEEK AROUND U.S.A
Washington, (Prensa Latina) The 23rd Caravan, Pastors for Peace continues its last week around U.S. cities to collect humanitarian aid to take to Cuba on July 21.
According to their schedule, the tour will end on Wednesday, and on Thursday the nine routes of the philanthropic project will meet in McAllen, Texas, to cross the Mexican city of Tampico and carry the cargo from there to the Caribbean nation.
Several organizations in solidarity with Cuba will hold a cultural event in rejection of the economic, financial and commercial blockade that the White House has maintained against the island for more than half a century, despite the widespread opposition of the international community for 20 consecutive years before the UN General Assembly.
With singers of different genres, the Freedom Square of Tampico will host the event that will mark the end of the tour which began late last month around communities in Canada and the United States, said the Pastors for Peace website.
