GOVERNMENT MINISTERS SWORN IN
St. George’s, October 7, 2011 –
Ministers have been sworn in to serve in their new portfolios of the Government of Grenada.
The swearing in, which began on Tuesday with Honourable Joseph Gilbert
who was leaving the state on government business, was completed on
Friday at the official residence of Governor General, Sir Carlyle Glean.
“I believe that these changes would be in the best interest of our
government and the country at this time and wish the affected ministers
the very best in their new assignments,’’ Prime Minister Hon. Tillman
Thomas said on September 30 when announcing the cabinet changes.
As part of the changes, Hon. Gilbert – the former Minister of Works,
Physical Development and Public Utilities – is now Minister of
Environment, Foreign Trade and Export Development.
