GRENADA AGRIBUSINESS OFFICIAL TO PARTICIPATE IN U.S. GOVERNMENT-SPONSORED LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

St. George -- Sandiford Edwards, Chief Executive Officer of the Grenada Marketing and National Importation Board, is traveling to the United States to participate in the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). He will take part in a three-week project on "U.S. Agriculture and Food Safety" from February 19 until March 11.

GRENADIANS AWARDED 53 SCHOLARSHIPS – MANY FOR STUDY AT SGU

St. George -- Fifty three scholarships, totalling more than $7 million U.S., approximately 90 percent of which are for study at the St. George's University (SGU), were awarded to Grenadian students, during a ceremony at the Public Workers Union building in St. George, on February 3, 2017.

U.S. EMBASSY OPENS EDUCATION USA ADVISING CENTER AT T.A. MARRYSHOW COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN GRENADA

Bridgetown -- The U.S. Embassy to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean, and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States is pleased to announce the opening of its EducationUSA advising center at the T.A. Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) in Grenada. The center will enable more Grenadian students to pursue their dreams of studying in the United States, and the knowledge and skills with which they return will allow them to contribute to Grenada's growth and development.

THE GRENADA COMMUNITY LIBRARY OPENS ITS DOORS AT NO.7 LUCAS STREET

St. George -- In December 2016, at its annual Fundraiser, the Grenada Community Library made a special announcement – that it had found a patron, a fairy Godfather of sorts, in local attorney James Bristol.  Then, on January 9, they opened their doors at their new location: No. 7 Lucas Street, St. George.
