RESOLUTION TO THE GBSS FURNITURE ISSUE

ST. GEORGE -- The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development and the Environment and the Grenada Union of Teachers (GUT) have arrived at a resolution, following the week-long tension, regarding the GBSS furniture matter.

A high level delegation, including the Education Minister, Hon. Anthony Boatswain; Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Sen. Simon Stiell; Permanent Secretary Aaron Francois, Chief Education Officer, Elvis Morain; the GUT President General, Lydon Lewis; Vice President of GUT Finley Jeffrey; other executive members of the GUT and Dominic Jeremiah - Chairman of the Grenada Association of Principals of Secondary Schools, met during the morning of June 2, 2017.

CO-OP BANK AWARDS FOURTEEN SCHOLARSHIPS

THE MINISTRY'S RESPONSE ON THE GBSS FURNITURE MATTER

St. George -- The Ministry of Education is informing parents and the general public that student are not required to pay for school furniture, in keeping with Ministry's Policy.

CARIBBEAN PRIMARY EXIT ASSESSMENT

St. George -- The final (external) component of the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) is scheduled for Friday May 19th. One thousand nine hundred and seventeen students are registered for the Assessment. These include one thousand and thirty-nine males and eight hundred and seventy-eight females.

4-H CLUB MEMBERS IN GRENADA AND CARRIACOU SPEND HOLIDAY IN THEIR BACKYARDS
