CAMERON UNIVERSITY STUDENT WINS FIRST PRIZE AT NATIONAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE

Oklahoma -- Cameron University senior, Gilron Charles, an international student from St. George, Grenada, has finished in first place in the Computer Security Scenarios competition held during the Association of Information Technology Professional's 18th Annual National Collegiate Conference earlier this month. Charles, an information technology major, was one of 49 participants in the contest.

In addition, he participated in the Networking competition, the PC Troubleshooting competition, in which he placed 11th among 144 participants; and, along with teammate Ralph Saunders of Lawton, in the Systems Analysis and Design competition.

GRENADA'S DIASPORA IN CANADA CONTINUES TO GIVE BACK THROUGH INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Toronto – Six students, six teachers and a parent are currently airborne, final destination: - Pearson Airport Toronto. They are part of a delegation from the Grenada Boys Secondary School (GBSS) who are participating in the first leg of an international student's exchange program with St. Roch's Catholic School in Brampton, Ontario.

Toronto -- It was nippy and early on Saturday morning, April 6th 2013, in the heart of downtown; but they were there, ready and fully prepared to participate in a workshop dedicated to developing leadership skills for personal and professional development. They are part of a segment of black youth in Toronto that the media often neglects; positive and progressive, they were here, pen and paper in hand, ready to absorb the information and resources about to be disseminated.
