TOWARD A NEW ECONOMIC PARADIGM FOR GRENADA
Bridgetown -- The Grenada Association of Barbados, as part of the Grenada Diaspora within the Caribbean, will be participating in the Thematic Platform Programme of the Grenada Diaspora Homecoming Conference scheduled to be held in Grenada from 5th to 18th August 2012.
The Association has convened a Panel of Experts from among its membership to explore the theme "Toward A New Economic Paradigm for Grenada" for the Conference's Thematic Platform Programme. The Panel examines four thematic areas that are critical to Grenada's long-term sustainable development: Economic Growth Policies to include Science, Technology and Innovation; Gender in the New Political Economy; Environmental Sustainability. Also scheduled to be held during the Conference is a Seminar on "Politics and Governance."

It is perceived that the Presentations and Seminar will target and reach audiences covering a wide cross-section of the population.
The Grenada Association of Barbados looks forward to utilizing its participation in the Grenada Diaspora Homecoming Conference 2012 as a forum for promoting and furthering not only its role in the strengthening of national strategies, but also for promoting future interaction and collaboration with Grenada Associations in other parts of the Grenadian Diaspora towards the development of the Grenadian homeland.
