THE FIVE MARKS OF MISSION

St. George -- The Diocese of the Windward Islands will be holding its Thirty Sixth session of its Tri-Annual Synod here in Grenada from the 16th to the 21st October 2016 under the theme "As a Shoot from the Root: Mission from the Life of the Local Church". The Synod will bring together Delegates (Clergy and Laity) from the Diocese and a team of experts in various fields for prayers, bible study, reflection and planning on "The Five Marks of Mission of the Anglican Communion."

VOLUNTEERISM IN ACTION

St. George -- Republic Bank's management team (11-strong), will team up with approximately 45 staff members from Republic House on Saturday, September 03rd to refurbish the St. David's Community Library as part of its Branch Community Projects (Staff Volunteerism) Programme, launched in 2014.

CONGRATULATIONS TO DR EVERSON J. PETERS

We extend congratulations to Dr Everson J. Peters, popularly known as Spanner, who has been given the opportunity to serve the region at a higher level through his recent appointment to Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DCEE) in the Faculty of Engineering of the University of the West Indies, St Augustine.

Dr Peters has displayed his tenacity by excelling in his educational achievements and providing excellent service directly to Grenada and to the region as a senior lecturer at the University of the West Indies. He now brings to the post of Head of DCEE a wealth of technical, administrative and practical skills which are essential as the University strives to reposition itself to provide more technical support to the region.  Dr Peters is expected to guide the Department in providing the students with a delicate balance of theory and practice in the field of civil engineering.

THE NDC SUPPORTS THE CLEAN UP CAMPAIGN

St. George -- The National Democratic Congress supports the initiative of the Government of Grenada led by The Ministry of Health and Nadma, to conduct a cleanup campaign on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August, 2016.
