CYBERCRIME AND PARENTING THE DIGITAL GENERATION

St. George -- With a key interest in encouraging ICT usage in families throughout Grenada, TEXPO has been offering informative forums, geared at spreading awareness and fostering interactive ICT focused dialogue between industry professionals and inquiring citizenry about five interest areas. In its next Forum, TEXPO will present on the following issues:

Cybercrime: This forum introduces audiences to the existence of cybercrime, by defining its parameters and disclosing ways of spotting and avoiding dangerous trends and internet traps. It examines the local context; looking specifically at the frequency of occurrences and the availability of legislation and resources remedying grievances. It is done in partnership with the Financial Intelligence Unit.

FIVE RAMPS CONSTRUCTED AT MACDONALD COLLEGE

St. George -- On Tuesday, May 27th 2012, students and staff of MacDonald College, representatives from the Ministry, family members and supporters, and the Grenada National Council of the Disabled all gathered to celebrate the official ramp ceremony, signifying steps being taken towards integration and inclusion of persons with disabilities.

HOSTING ITS 1ST ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL & TABLE TOPICS SPEECH CONTESTS

St. George -- Toastmasters in Grenada will converge on Saturday 14th April, at the Red Cross Conference Room from 19:00hrs (7:00pm) to compete in their 1st Annual International & Table Topics Speech Contest.

REPUBLIC BANK DONATES EQUIPMENT VALUED AT $70,000.00

St. George – Republic Bank has delivered on its promise to assist blind and visually impaired students to better cope with the challenges of living with blindness and low vision.  

Under its Power to Make a Difference Programme, the Bank has donated to the Resource Centre for the Blind located at Park Estate, Perdmontemps, St. David, specialized equipment and stationery, valued at $70,000.00.
