CLIMATE-SMART AGRICULTURE AND RURAL ENTERPRISE PROGRAMME

St. George -- On Friday, April 28th 2017, the Government of Grenada (GOG) signed a Design Mission Aide Memoire with the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) for a new Project at the Ministry of Finance, St. George. The Design Mission was held from April 18th -28th 2017 with a IFAD Mission team comprising of eight specialists to collect and analyse data for the completion of the Programme Proposal for the new Climate Smart Agriculture and Rural Enterprise Programme (SAEP).

CRUISE PORT SEAWALL CLEANUP A SUCCESS

St. George — 30 members of the Grenada Cadet Corp Zone B have collected 27 jumbo size bags of litter along the seawall behind the Melville Street Cruise Terminal to ensure that one of Grenada's scenic spots remains litter free.

THE PASSING OF PATRICIA ANNE HOOD

Patricia Anne Hood Cherubin, former Wesley Hall School student of Bluggoe Cottage and Tyrrel Street died peacefully at her home in Toronto on Friday, March 24th, 2017.

She was the wife of Lincoln 'Toro' Depradine; mother of Dr Jamal Depradine and Khalil Depradine. Among other surviving relatives are her sister, Brenda Hood, brother Dudley Hood, niece Marcia Smith, and cousin Greta Best -- all in Toronto.

Other relatives in Toronto, the US & Grenada include brothers Charlie, Ben, Bob Boy, Porgie, Richie, Ivor and John; sisters Neila and Marcia; in-laws Stephanie Hood; Pamela Cherebin and Alison Cherubim; as well many nephews, nieces and friends.
