GPP AND WRB FILE ARBITRATION CLAIM WITH ICSID TO ENFORCE GOVERNMENT OF GRENADA'S OBLIGATION TO REPURCHASE GPP'S GRENLEC SHARES

St. George -- On May 5th Grenada Private Power Limited (GPP), the 50% shareholder of Grenlec, along with GPP's parent company WRB Enterprises Inc. (WRB), filed a request for arbitration with the World Bank's International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID); the purpose of this arbitration is to enforce the Government of Grenada's contractual obligation to repurchase the 50% Grenlec shareholding that Government previously sold to GPP.

REPUBLIC FINANCIAL HOLDINGS LIMITED RECORDS US $94.4 MILLION IN HALF-YEAR PROFITS

Port-of-Spain -- Republic Financial Holdings Limited has recorded a profit attributable to shareholders of US $94.4 million for the half-year ended March 31, 2017, an increase of US $6.6 million or 7.5% over the corresponding period in 2016. Total assets stood at US$ 10.3 billion at March 31, 2017, an increase of 1.8% over March 2016 and 3.0% over September, 2016.
