REGISTRATION ACTIVITY

St. George, August 15, 2011 -- Employee registration in 2010 amounted to 1,977 representing a 4.4% decrease in relation to 2009. Of the 1,977 employees registered, 74.5% (1,427) are in the 16-24 age group.

Employers registering with the National Insurance Scheme in 2010 total 1,398 indicating a 3.8% decline relative to 2009. From the 1,398 registered employers, 291 are self-employed, representing a 9.8% increase over 2009.  Statistics here.

St. George, August 5, 2011 -- LIME is delighted to announce the appointment of Angus Steele as head the Grenada Business unit effective August 1st 2011, after completing over three years of tenure in the St Vincent and the Grenadines market.

Mr. Steele, began working with the then Cable & Wireless, now LIME 20 years ago as a Trainee Switch Technician. He worked his way up through the ranks and was appointed Chief Executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines business unit in December 2007.

During his tenure at the helm, Mr. Steele led the way in enhancing key stakeholder relationships, including Government, National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), the police and FIU and the Commercial Technical and Allied Workers Union (CTAWU).

St. George, December 6, 2010 -- The St. George’s Anglican Senior School is the recipient of a Desk top computer from LIME.  The gift was donated to the National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA), to be given to the school placing first in the “Water Wise Kids” NAWASA Primary Schools competition.

Kingston, Jamaica, December 2, 2010:  Cable & Wireless Communications plc. (“CWC”), the parent company of LIME, today announced that it has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (“MOU”) with the Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas (“Government”) to acquire a 51% interest in the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (“BTC”).
