THE THINGS MINE EYES HAVE SEEN

I have seen a lot in this Spice Isle since my starry-eyed years of political awareness as a teenager. I saw the Mongoose Gang in action and I saw the overthrow of Eric Gairy. In those days, my political eyes were not well-formed. The brutal excesses of the Revolution I saw up until the criminalisation of power in October 1983. I thought my eyes could not bear anymore.

AFRICAN SLAVE LIFE SHOULD NEVER BE REENACTED - A RESPONSE

This is the third year that the National heritage and Cultural Committee has been charged with "doing something" to celebrate April as National Heritage Month. I served on that Committee for the first two years. Circumstances prevented me from taking part this year.

MAREP HELD ITS SECOND VOCATIONAL & SKILLS TRAINING (VST) GRADUATION & AWARD CEREMONY


St. George -- On Tuesday, the Market Access and Rural Enterprise Development Programme (MAREP) held its second Graduation Ceremony for the Vocational Skills and Training (VST) Program. The Ceremony was held in the Hospitality Room of the Grenada National Stadium.

WAYNE MODESTE PASSES!

GrenadaBroadcast and CHIME FM join our media colleagues in extending our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Wayne Modeste, as well as the staff at the New Today newspaper where he was employed at the time of his passing.

Wayne was also a former vice-president of the Media Workers Association of Grenada (MWAG), and will be especially remembered for the passion with which he pursued his career, and his persistent willingness to render assistance whenever needed.

May his sould rest in peace!

'Til we meet again, Wayne!
