The body of a man which was retrieved from the water in the vicinity of the Carenage has been identified as 54 year-old Jerome King of Petite Martinique.
King, who worked as a fisherman aboard one of the fishing trawlers docked in close proximity to where the body was found, was reported missing at about 09:15 a.m. on Thursday. About 15 minutes later, the RGPF was informed about a body which was seen submerged in the water.
He was reportedly last seen alive at about 09:00 a.m. on Wednesday. A postmortem is scheduled, and a police investigation is underway.
